The modern style of sampler is becoming extremely popular and many of you are enjoying designing your own using original authentic motifs. If you design just for yourself, and would like one of your samplers published in the magazine, why not send in a photograph with full graph and fabric/thread/size details.
All contributuions published will be given a free 1 year subscription of the magazine.
Design Contributions
There are many designers out there who have created work which they would love to share with others, or design for a living and would like to promote their work. If you have a design and would like it to appear in the magazine, please send in an attachment which includes a clear photograph of the finished article, full material information, and a colour graph. Remember it has to be sampler related, and the clearer the photograph the better. What better way to promote your work and make yourself known to the world of embroidery.
This entitles you to a free lifetime subscription and free website address box, you will keep copyright of the design, an optional article about your work and sufficiant space to promote your work.
The SamplerStitcher Newspage
It's always good to hear from the people who subscribe to the magazine. When you subscribe you're joining a "club" where everyone enjoys the same thing- samplers - so share with us all what you've been creating, and any ideas and suggestions you may have. Go to the Contact page and send a message.
Remember, this is your magazine and it will have all the items you enjoy reading about, so I look forward to hearing from you.
What's On
If you have an event you'd like to let everyone know about which you're organising, send an e-mail with all the information. Make sure you send it in good time so it appears in the magazine early. If you know of anywhere exhibiting samplers or anything connected with samplers, let us know the venue address, the opening times and a contact telephone number or address to write to if further details are required.
Let's Go Shopping
You'll find this page jam packed full of new products - from silk threads to needles, fabrics to kits, everything you need to help you create your design where ever you may live. There will be new sampler related sites on the internet to visit too.
Book Reviews
Trying to find books on samplers, and failed, well.....here you'll find titles aimed solely on samplers, with a summary of what it has to offer inside. There will be site information of where you can purchase them easily online.
Kids Corner
When you consider that the majority of the samplers created centuries ago were created by embroiderers as young as 6 years old, today's children rarely allow time to sit and create the same ideas on fabric. Hopefully, this page may influence a few young starters. It's also very helpful for the beginner!!
