Antique SamplerStitcher Magazine was started in 2008, and it is aimed at everyone who enjoys embroidering, designing or looking at antique samplers.
Subscriptions are no longer available but back issues are available.
When you receive a magazine you will be sent a PDF file to download onto your computer. It can then be stored for future reference and when required for working one of the charts, the page can be printed out.
Each magazine contains designs your can embroider in cross stitch and blackwork, sampler book reviews, museums to visit, the Victoria & Albert Museum collection and much more.
It is a invaluable source of patterns and motifs which you can use for your own designs.
Many of the patterns and motifs used in the designs date as far back as the 16th century, which helps to maintain the antique style and helps to preserve this extraudinary area of embroidery which has continued for centuries, and hopefully, will continue into the future.
